Van Ritshie has often said that he believes God put him on this Earth to make a difference in radio. Over the five decades he has been in the broadcasting industry, he has helped to raise funds and awareness for numerous causes such as Alzheimer’s disease.
Ritschie celebrated his 50th year in broadcasting on WALL Radio back in February. Over the years, the legendary disc jockey has worked at stations like WKIP, WJJB, WRNQ and WGNY.
He also is known nationwide for his voice-over talent and has worked for The Golf Channel in Orlando, Florida, where he was the voice of the PGA Tour.
Ritshie continues to run his own voice-over business with clients that include The Metropolitan Transportation Authority in New York City, producing the announcements you hear on trains and in Grand Central Terminal and Penn Station. He also voiced the Disaster ride for Universal Studios in Orlando.
